‘Cause it makes me that much stronger...

First year complete. It’s been energetic, at times exhausting... but fun & immensely productive! Thank you to all those, especially my team, my board and our member firms, who supported me on both a professional & personal level.
It’s been a journey (literally, having travelled to 4 continents, 25 countries, attending events and visiting our offices; but also spiritually). I’ve had some great conversations with individuals at Russell Bedford firms all around the world about their quality businesses, professional ambitions and discussed personal stories & goals in life.
I said in a previous post that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger (“Makes me work a little bit harder, it makes me that much wiser, so thanks for making me a Fighter” ;-) You should draw on past experiences, good and bad, and use them to inspire you and motivate you. If you are ever let down by someone close to you and/or left to question the loyalty & integrity of others, you should use any negative angry emotions that such situation may have created and turn them into positive strength. You will then have won every battle.
In my first year at Russell Bedford, we’ve seen impressive growth with 20 new member firms, a fabulous refreshed website and rebrand (with vibrant, updated imagery), enhanced social media presence, video content (including a new corporate video which received over 1,300 views in its first two months of release), increased service offerings (an annual programme of webinars, a regular global tax bulletin, amongst other publications), record-breaking conferences and new events - all in 12 months!
I can honestly say that Russell Bedford has taken me further.
It’s been an amazing year! I’m proud to be in this position of responsibility for this fantastic, expanding, re-energised network, with extremely talented people. I look forward to Year 2!
